Flushes a Confidence Killer
This post will not concern the majority of people but I still decided to do it because its one of the most annoying thing that happens to people when they suffer from conditions like Rosacea.
So what is a really a Flush ?
Im sure everyone has been faced with the embarrassing situation when are your face turns red… Well that is simply a flush. Basically the science behind it is all of us have tiny blood vessels under our skin some of us have more some less. When we are face with strong emotions or strong weather conditions those vessels react and you become all RED. There is so little documentations about flushes it took me a while to really figure out what they actually are because no Doctor will really explain.
Now the good thing about it is there is an actual solution to it and this relates to my previous post the Redness Laser. Yes, what needs to be done is those vessels need to be destroyed of shrunk in order for them to not play any nasty tricks on us any longer!
Alternative to Laser
There is another option you could go for that I have also tried. It is named MIRVASO. The main ingredient is brimonidine topical gel, 0.33% which is an alpha adrenergic agonist. Basically it is a VASOCONSTRICTOR meaning it will shrink your blood vessels which will reduce the inflammation. Millions of people use it in the United States that s where I first tried it myself, to be honest it was a disaster on me, all the possible side effects I had them! On the packaging the adverse events are (≥1%) included erythema, flushing, skin burning sensation and contact dermatitis. My mistake was to try it on a night out in LA, needless to say that it was a nightmare sitting in the restaurant and your face just suddenly goes RED and is BURNING all over.
However I asked my Doctor the next day and he said sometimes it takes a while to get used to it and eventually the reactions go away. I am pretty sure he is right because when I applied it I was white so 12 hours but when the time limit was reached it stops its effects and the reaction was worse. If you have really bad Rosacea it’s worth trying anyhow because it might just suit you.
I will try to find a photo of a person enduring flush but it will not be mine since I have been doing laser for the past 6 years so I have not had these flushes anymore.
I managed to find some photos that I am allowed to use and they show flushes pretty well.
These flushes have affected me alot during my high school years and I actually have some photos in my albums where you can really see the redding of the skin I will try to find them and post them.
Hope this comes in handy to anyone with similar problems. The post is still incomplete but do not hesitate to send me comments or ask any question I will be glad to help!
